The Ride Run & Relay is a fun event for those who run and ride mountain bikes. You have two options on length, either 90 or 180 minutes. Then choose duo or solo.
Duo teams will race simultaneously, one on the running loop, the other on the cycling loop. When the cyclist finishes the loop, he/she starts on the run. When the runner finishes, he/she will get on the mountain bike and start that loop. Both people in the duo must use the SAME bike and alternate between running and riding. There will be a designated transition area.
Solo athletes can start on either the run or the bike and must alternate between cycling and running.
The course consists of a rolling 5'ish mile cycling loop of smooth single track and a 5K'ish running loop on a rolling grassy double track. Cyclist and runners are on completely separate courses.
The race will be scored by laps, and then by time. Most laps in least amount of time wins. One lap consists of a circuit of either the run or cycling loop. All laps must be started before the division time expires, either 90 or 180 minutes. Medals to top 3 in the division, prizes raffled off after the awards ceremony.
There will be brats, hot dogs, soda and adult beverages for all participants post race!!!
