Why participate?
The Darlington Raceway Spring Fling 5K is a community event for all ages. In operation since 1950, Darlington Raceway is considered one of the most historic tracks in NASCAR and consistently serves as a one of the pillars of the community having donated thousands to area charities and organizations.
What is different about this race?
- Runners have the opportunity to run a great certified 5K course with the historic NASCAR track as the backdrop for their run.
- Customized bibs will be handed out this year!!
- Following the 5K run will be an Easter egg hunt for kids 12 and under with Over 1,000 eggs being hidden around the track’s
infield with special golden eggs offering race tickets and other great prizes.
- FREE picnic-style dinner for those that attend.

Darlington Shares works closely with The NASCAR Foundation (501c3), Darlington Raceway established Darlington Shares on January 8, 2014. The goal of Darlington Shares is to help those in need within the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. To date, Darlington Shares has helped several local charities, including the Lord Cares and the Free Medical Clinics of Darlington County, expand their reach and provided a Christmas celebration for families in need annually in Darlington County.
