Put your green on and join us for a 5K along the Fox River Trail in South Elgin. Proceeds benefit the Anderson Animal Shelter. Each participant will received a drawstring back pack and custom finishers medal (we promise to have plenty this year and not have to mail out after the run!) as well as a swag bag filled with fun items! Description:
Put your green on and join us for a 5K race along the Fox River Trail in South Elgin or a 1 mile pet parade/walk at SEBA park in South Elgin. Proceeds benefit the Anderson Animal Shelter. We have added the 1 mile parade/walk due to requests we have had from adoption families and volunteers to participate.
Each adult and youth 5K participant will receive a T-shirt and custom finishers medal as well as a swag bag filled with fun items! The 5k event will be chip timed! Awards for overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male & female finishers as well as award certificate for 1st place male & female in age categories from 9 and under to 80 and up!
All pet parade participants will receive a swag bag filled with coupons and St. Pat's Day goodies!

Course description:
We will start at SEBA Park in South Elgin and follow the Fox River Bike Trail South along the beautiful Fox River and Forest Preserve.
Directions to start:
The pet parade walk with start promptly at 9:00 am. The traditional 5K will start at 9:15 am.
Parking:
Plenty of free parking in South Elgin.
Awards info:
All adult and youth 5K participants will receive a custom finishers medal.Top three male and female will be recognized as well as the top male and female in respective 5 year age groups.

Chip Timing
The 5K will be chip timed start and finish. The Pet Parade walk will not be timed.
Packet pickup:
Only 5K participants will need to pick up their packet before the event! Pet Parade participants can pick up their swag bags after the walk!
