An inaugural Thanksgiving Day run in Havelock with two distances to choose from and a great kids run! Bring the whole family!
The Havelock Tom Turkey 5K/10K & Little Gobblers' Fun Run benefits the Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation (ECAHF.) The primary mission of ECAHF is to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education in area youth by hosting a variety of educational events and performing community outreach in area schools and organizations. In addition, ECAHF is also responsible for the aviation exhibits and upkeep at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center which is free and open to the public for tours. ECHAF strives to :
P= Preserve and honor history and Eastern NC aviation heritage
E= Educate and inspire youth to pursue aviation-oriented STEM
P= Prepare and motivate our community, state and nation to compete in a high tech future
And don't forget...the further your run, the more you get to eat at Thanksgiving dinner!!
