2022 Tour de Houston Volunteer Registration

Tour de Houston Presented by Apache Corporation is a fundraising bike ride that benefits Houston's Reforestation Program. The ride will take place Sunday, April 3, 2022. This annual event offers Houstonians and visitors a unique way to view the city with bike routes winding through Houston’s historic neighborhoods, scenic districts and parks. With three ride length options, the Tour de Houston is the perfect event for leisure riders or cycling enthusiasts. This event begins and ends in Hermann Square at City Hall located at 901 Bagby. 


Tour de Houston presented by Apache Corporation has 3 rest stop locations along the 3 combined routes. Each rest stop is staffed by a City of Houston staff captain with a volunteer crew of 30-40 people. Report times fall between 5:30-6 a.m. and will close by 1:00 p.m. Duties include setting up tents, serving fruit, water and snacks to the riders, collecting cardboard and trash for recycling, directing riders in and out of the area. Rest Stop volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks plus free parking.

Thursday and Friday, March 31-April 1 at City Hall
• Shift #1: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Shift #2: 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sun at Sun and Ski on Westheimer 
Sunday, April 3 from 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. at City Hall
Duties include rider check-in, bib assignment, distribution of event materials. Packet Pickup volunteers will receive lunch and snacks plus free parking.

Sunday, April 3 at City Hall 
• Shift #1: 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
• Shift #2: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Duties include keeping the station stocked, collecting cardboard and trash as needed, assisting in the takedown. Hydration Station volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks plus free parking.

Sunday, April 3 from 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. at City Hall
Duties include rider registration, bib assignment, distribution of event materials. Registration volunteers will receive breakfast and snacks plus free parking.

Sunday, April 3 at City Hall 
• Shift #1: 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
• Shift #2: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Duties include checking in volunteers, providing instructions to volunteers, and distributing event materials. Registration volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks plus free parking.
