The Great American Meatout Race For Health 5K

Please join us on Sunday March 18, 2018 at 10:00AM at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park for the Great American Meatout Race For Health 5K Run/Walk! Since 1985, activists around the world have celebrated March 20th, the first day of Spring by sharing their love of vegan food as part of a huge international event called Meatout.

Every year, Meatout introduces thousands of people to the benefits of a compassionate diet for achieving great health, helping the environment, and of course, saving animals. Meatout has gained so much world-wide popularity, it is now celebrated throughout the week of Sunday, March 18th - Saturday, March 24th. The Great American Meatout Race for Health kicks off this monumental week.

The USATF Sanctioned 5K race will start and finish near Marcy Casino at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park using the USATF Course #NY15031JJ.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the park from 8:30am right up until the start of the race at 10:00am. Event t-shirts to all participants who register by 3/10/18. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, while supplies last, each runner will receive a free race bag as well as a copy of What The Health DVD.

Mail-in Registration Option by 3/10 post-mark date only. No exceptions.
Deadline for mail in registration is 3/10 post-mark date. Any registrations sent in after this time will not be accepted. If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the Asha Sanctuary address shown on the waiver along with your check.

POST RACE CELEBRATION AT MARCY CASINO
Join us at Marcy Casino for a post-race celebration including a healthy, whole food buffet, cash bar, music, and the awards ceremony. We're also excited to showcase vegan and vegan-friendly businesses who will offer FREE food and product samples. Click here for a complete list of Exhibitors.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking within walking distance of the start/finish line.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers and medals will be presented to the top three male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups:

14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

Run/walk dressed as your favorite veggie and be eligible to win a prize!

Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
